An honest note. Joining the bench doesn’t guarantee immediate work; offers come as clients sign on. Once you’re placed on a client, the work is steady: clients start with a three-month first term, then renew for 12 months.
Two ways to join
Own a client, or own a line.
A Node owns a client and handles the day-to-day: you’re the one they talk to, across every line they use. A Pillar owns a line: you do the backend work in it for several clients, and give Nodes expert guidance before they answer a question in your line. Together, Nodes and Pillars form the frame each client’s finance grows on.
Node, the client’s day-to-day contact
Node
You own the client. You handle the day-to-day, and you’re the one they talk to.
Day to day
- Meet each client at onboarding and learn how their business runs
- Answer every question they send, across all the lines they use
- Check with the Pillar for that line before you answer a technical question
- Keep them posted on runs, closes, and reports
Pillar, the specialist behind one line
Pillar
You own a line. You do the backend work in it for several clients, and you guide the Nodes who answer them.
Day to day
- Do the technical work in your line, for several clients
- Give Nodes expert guidance before they answer a question in your line
- Keep every client’s records clean and on schedule
- Work on standard templates, with senior review on every engagement

Where Pillars work
Five lines. Each Pillar owns one.
Every Pillar works in exactly one of Trelivo’s service lines, for several clients at once, and guides the Nodes on questions in that line.
Pillar · Payables
Bills checked, coded, and scheduled. Payment runs prepared for each client’s approver, and vendor records kept clean.
3+ years in payables
Pillar · Receivables
Invoices built from each client’s billing data, sent on the statement date, and payments matched as they arrive.
3+ years in receivables
Pillar · Payroll
Pay computed and checked every cycle, government contributions and tax prepared, and year-end forms handled.
3+ years in payroll
Pillar · Controller
Books kept current, accounts reconciled, the month closed by the 10th, and financial statements prepared.
A higher bar: 5+ years
Pillar · CFO
Cash forecasts, budgets, and management reports, explained in plain words for business owners.
The highest bar: 8+ years
Where Nodes work
With clients, across every line they use.
A Node looks after a few clients. Each may use several lines, and you’re their one contact for all of them.
Onboarding
Meet each new client, learn how their business runs, and agree how they like to hear from us.
Everyday questions
Answer what clients send, by chat or email, usually the same day.
Before every run or close
Confirm what’s needed, remind approvers, and make sure nothing is waiting on the client.
After every run or close
Share the results in plain words, and walk clients through anything that changed.
Clean systems
Good finance work, without the chaos.
Clients trust us with their books. This is how we keep their work consistent and their data safe, and how we make sure you’re never figuring it out alone.
Standard templates.
Every line runs on the same templates and checklists, so each client’s work looks the same and nothing depends on memory.
Senior review on every engagement.
Every engagement gets senior review. You’re never figuring it out alone, and clients get work that’s been checked.
Trelivo-managed accounts.
You work in Trelivo accounts and a Trelivo email address. Personal email is never used for client work.
Confidentiality and device security.
You sign a confidentiality agreement and keep your device secure: a screen lock, up-to-date software, and no client files on shared computers.
How pay works
An hourly rate, set by role and line.
Your rate
An hourly rate, set by your role and your line. We share it with you before your first engagement.
Logging hours
Log your hours in the Trelivo timesheet as you work. Each entry is reviewed and approved against its engagement.
Payout
Approved hours are paid once a month, for the month just ended.
Receipts and tax
You issue an official receipt for each payout. Trelivo withholds the tax due and gives you BIR Form 2307 for your own filing.

What we look for
Four things, in this order.
Clear communication.
Both roles face clients, so this comes first. You explain things simply, in writing and on a call.
Solid fundamentals.
You know your line well enough to spot what doesn’t add up, and why.
Reliability.
You do what you said you’d do, when you said you’d do it, and you say so early when something slips.
Care with sensitive data.
You treat every client’s numbers as confidential, because they are.
Joining process
Four steps to the bench.
-
1
Apply.
A short form and your CV. It takes about two minutes.
-
2
Intro call.
A short conversation about your experience, how you like to work, and the role that fits.
-
3
Practical interview.
Walk us through real work you’ve handled: what you did, how you checked it, and how you’d explain it to a client.
-
4
Join the bench and receive offers.
Once you’re on the bench, engagement offers come to you. Accept the ones that fit, and pass on the rest.
Questions
What people ask before they join.
Can I keep my current job?
Yes. You’re a contractor on the bench, and you choose how much to take on. Just check that your current arrangement allows outside work, and that it doesn’t conflict with our clients.
What if I pass on an offer?
Nothing happens. You can pass on any offer, and you’ll keep receiving offers that fit your role and line.
Can I start as a Node and move to Pillar later?
Yes. Once you have the experience a line asks for, you can apply to join as a Pillar in it, with the same practical interview.
Can I work with a client directly?
No. Your agreement includes a non-solicitation clause: while you’re on the bench, and for a set period after, you agree not to take on a Trelivo client yourself or through someone else. It protects our clients and everyone on the bench.
How are taxes handled?
You issue an official receipt for each payout. Trelivo withholds the tax due and gives you BIR Form 2307, which you use when you file your own returns.
How much work can I expect?
It depends on client demand, your role and line, and how much you want to take on. Joining the bench doesn’t guarantee immediate work. Once you’re placed on a client, though, the work is steady, because clients start with a three-month first term and then renew for 12 months.
What happens to my data?
We use your application and CV only to assess you for the bench. We keep them for up to two years, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
